Supernatural Thrillers with a Sense of Humor and a Christian Bent
Grace from Darkness Series: Reluctant heroine with a short fuse tackles evil sorcerers, warring ghosts, and ravening wendigos in the Roaring 20s
The Crowned Serpent: Book 1
In 1921, all widowed Grace O’Connell wants is a peaceful life on her Tennessee farm.
But darkness is stirring in the mountains. It pulls her into an Appalachian world of walking legends, cursed towns, and a sorceress in league with a serpent out of nightmare… and the sorceress is her aunt.
Grace wishes they would all go away, but apparently God disagrees. Gritting her teeth and toting a rifle she’s not very good at, she and her companions–including a certain blue-eyed priest–storm the Appalachians to bring God’s light back to a cursed region. Assuming they live that long.
Dark Border, Book 2
In the year 1923, Grace O’Connell is glad that she lived through the terrifying events at Elkmont, Tennessee. She even found love with Father Justin Carey, her warrior priest.
As far as Grace is concerned, she’s retired from monster-fighting and only want to enjoy her engagement trip with her fiancé and son to Justin’s home country of England. But God has other ideas. Justin and son Michael are delighted at the chance to battle horrific evil.
Grace, not so much.
Will Grace live to marry her priest and protect her son? Or will her growing irritation with goblins, ghosts, and necromancers spill over into violence… again?
The Shadow Eaters, Book 3
Grace is counting down the days to her December wedding. She can’t believe it when a young German shows up on the doorstep and insists that Justin help him find his kidnapped friends. That’s rude enough, but then Justin agrees to go with him. He promises to be back in a few days for the wedding, but Grace is not convinced.
She thinks the only thing she can do is worry and fret until Justin comes home. But her adventurous aunt Susanne has other ideas. The two women take off to West Virginia to track down the errant groom.
They find so much more than either of them bargained for. And Grace is going to be darned to heck before she lets her wedding become a no-show.
